7th Special Forces Soldiers Visit July '03

Once again we had the pleasure of entertaining honorees who recently returned from Afghanistan. This visitors came to us courtesy of Chapter 81. Once again, all of us who had the pleasure of meeting these fine young men were impressed with their intelligence, professionalism and commitment. We are very fortunate to have the US Army Special Forces and the many great people that occupy the ranks in defense of our country and to help others free themselves from tyranny.

The six members of the 7th Special Forces Group from Fort Bragg were the guests of honor for the July 4th celebration in Breaux Bridge. Chapter 81 sent them to us incognito for a covert mission to the French Quarter. They arrived at a twelve noon on July 5, ate a Joe's Crab Shack, and then were deployed to the Quarter where they went to Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop, Old Absinthe House Bar, Pat O'Brien's, and a general walking tour. Shown below are some pictures from their few hours with us. Their guides were Tony Riddle, Henry Cook, Art Zieske and Jack Vincent.
