14 Sept 2009 - update on Ernie Mayeaux
How about hearing from the horses mouth. I was taken from CCU today and should be home (Pattaya) in 2 or 3 days. All is well And I am On the mend. Thank all for their thought and concerns. It was a very close call. More later

09 Sept 2009 - update from Steve Grimm

I am feeling great and have not been in Atrial Fibrillation since being zapped before leaving the hospital. The hospital still owes me an explanation as to how someone checking on me would not notice a pint of blood in the stretcher with me.

My fear is that had they waited any longer to send me up I would have bleed out. I want to know what they have done to make sure that this will not happen to anyone else. If they do that I will be satisfied and if they don’t I will pursue it further.

It was a lot more invasive than I thought but the bruising and bleeding has all stopped and I am feeling great. I have no problem sharing with the group as I hope this might help someone else having a similar procedure. I just couldn’t pass up the medic calls as it did remind me of that but of course I didn’t do that. Thanks

09 Sept 2000 - Ernie Mayeaux
As some of you know Ernie had a mild heart attack about a week and a 1/2 ago. He has been going back to the Pattaya International Hospital everyday for medication. Today the 7Th of September I took him to the hospital for a stress test.

It did not take long and they said he needed an angioplasty. They could not do it there so they recommended Bangkok Pattaya Hospital and they could do it today. At 3PM he went in for the procedure at Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.

He just called me at 5PM and he told me that he has 3 arteries completely closed and they are going to do a triple bypass to night or first thing in the AM.
I will call his MOM AND DAD tonight at 9PM when it is 9AM in the states.

Ernie is 100% disabled but he does not think that it covers his heart as it was not service connected. He is not retired military.

Any help on what we can do would be greatly appreciated
Thank You For Any Help
